Experiments with Anamorphoses

Anamorphoses are a renaissance invention of geometric projections to hide an original image which can in return only be seen in a specific mirror reflection.
I was invited in 1976 by the director of the Museum of Decorative Arts in Paris to participate at an art show of anamorphoses. For that show I wrote several computer programs for cylindrical-, pyramidal- and conical-projections.

Anamorphose of a cube in a cylindrical projection. Inside the center circle is the original image (as seen in a cylindrical mirror) of the projection drawn outside the circle. From Catalog Anamorphoses, Musee d'art Decorartive, Paris 1976

Anamorphose of letters in a conical projection. Inside the center circle is the original image (as seen in a conical mirror) of the projection drawn outside the circle.

Anamorphose of 2 squares in a pyramidal projection. Inside the center circle is the original image (as seen in a pyramidal mirror) of the projection drawn outside the circle.
