P-210, series of two plotter drawings / ink on paper, 1977, 35cm x 35cm each

© 1977 by Manfred Mohr

About the algorithm:
- The edges of a cube at a given rotation are projected into 2-D and are extended to a surrounding square (with the cube edges drawn as solid lines and the extensions drawn as hollow lines):
Left drawing:
- The inherent substructures of the cube are partitioned into dimensions. The top line partitions the edges, the middle line partitions the squares, and the bottom line is the whole cube.
Right drawing:
- The end points of the extended edges along the exterior square are held fixed, while the cube is rotated, pulling the extended lines with it.
